Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish actor and model. Born on 11th November, 1966. She made her debut in the Bond film, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody started modelling when she was approached. It turned out to be a lucrative career. Doody avoided nude and glamour work, a rule that was carried into her acting. Having come to the attention of the director who cast a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one the 12 most promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody aged 18 as she played the character of Doody in Bond, was and is still the most youthful Bond gal to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. Her first lead role was in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. Then she took her greatest role in the film Taffin as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson part. Then she played Flannery Sheen's girlfriend and his agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody's first appearance on the big screen took place in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. She played alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 television movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines and also appeared in a short film called Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet about the Holocaust and in the British TV program Waking the Dead (in a two-part series called. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She was also to be the main character for The Asphyx remake, but this project did not go ahead. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and she received a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
